Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe has a mood to suit the needs of any soul. She can be as serene as the verdant Bromley valley, as exotic as the Vumba, where orchids and monkeys tangle in the lianas or as wild as the lion coloured plains of Hwange.  Her cities, too, from Harare to Bulawayo have widely different faces.

Intercultural Harare is Zimbabwe sophisticated, glittering, elegant with a febrile pulse, Bulawayo a warm maternal air, Mutare a fresh, demure charm while further afoot, Kariba, a water wilderness, is rich in buffalo, elephant and crocodile where a Sundowner cruise or a few days in a houseboat is an absolute must.

Matobos National Park, has the resting place of explorer Cecil John Rhodes carved into the summit of Malindidzimu and, along with the Great Zimbabwe world heritage site, which for many visitors is Zimbabwe’s greatest single attraction, have charmed and fascinated many visitors.

Balancing rocks punctuate the skyline of the Motobo’s ranges while the walls of Nswatugi Cave feature Stone Age rock art with the park playing home to significant populations of black eagles and both black and white rhinos.

Augmenting her beauty with the Victoria Falls, the world wonder first recorded by Scottish missionary David Livingstone, Zimbabwe boasts the jewel in the crown whose magnificence encompasses an awe inspiring height of 100m and record width of 1708 meters.

Border to border the immediate impression of Zimbabwe, for the visitor, is of warm friendship which permeates the country.
